Bank Albilad shall participate as a principal sponsor in the Euromoney Saudi Arabia 2008 conference to be organized by the Euromoney Investment Company during the period May 7 – 9, 2008 at the Al-Faisaliyah Hotel in Riyadh. The conference shall be inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf Minister of Finance and H.E. Dr. Khalid M. Al-Gosaibi Minister of Economy and Planning. It shall be attended by a large number of dignitaries from both the economic and financial sectors. Bank Albilad's participation follows on the Bank's efforts to support the economic events seen in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Bank shall also participate in the dialogue sessions and workshops to be organized during the conference. The Bank's ACEO Razi Fakih shall participate in the second session of the conference which shall address "The Capital Sector: If oil is the fuel, is the financial sector the engine?"

The Bank shall also participate in the accompanying exhibition where it exploits the services and products it offers, and in the second workshop which addresses the "Islamic Banking Challenges". The Sharia Board Secretariat Department Mr. Hamed Merah shall present a lecture titled: "Sukuk: their Nature, Developments and Future Challenges".

Commenting on the occasion, Fakih said that: "Bank Albilad is keen on participating effectively in such international conferences where the economic and financial developments seen in the Saudi economy are highlighted. Many matters of concern are also presented here, in addition to views of specialized Saudi and international personalities. The Bank shall contribute in the opening sessions as well as in the workshops which manifests the extent of the Bank's interest in such conferences and events."

It is noteworthy that Bank Albilad has recently participated in many economic events mainly the SME financing symposium organized by the Institute of Banking in cooperation with the International Financing Organization. It has also participated in the Second Saudi IPO Conference. Added to that are the Bank's contributions to community and charitable activities aimed at developing the Saudi community.
