Bank Albilad launches a unique initiative, which is the “financial awareness curriculum and savings culture” as an extra-curricular subject taught in a number of universities and schools during the second semester of the current year 1441 under the supervision of a number of experts in the academic field and in cooperation with the Saudi Center for Social Responsibility and with the support of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance and the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency.  This curriculum has been launched in King Saud University, Al Yamamah University, Imam Muhammad bin Saud University, Manarat Al Riyadh Schools, Kingdom Schools, and Al Manhal Schools. The launch of this initiative reflects Bank Albilad’s sense of responsibility towards its community, specifically in terms of educating students at various stages of the importance of financial awareness and savings.
On this occasion, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Anizan, CEO of Bank Albilad said: “We, in Bank Albilad, believe in the importance of saving and the necessity of financial awareness and money management at the level of community members. Therefore, this initiative, which is the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was launched as a curricular subject taught during the year 1441 AH in a number of universities and schools. This is out of our sincere desire to provide male and female students with skills that contribute to improving their financial and economic practices through educational establishments whose role must go beyond granting academic certificates to include empowerment, rehabilitation and training.”
“We will also continue to strengthen our role in our nation’s 2030 vision in various fields, specifically in the saving aspect, which is the endeavor to raise the household saving rate from 6% to 10%, and to create a diverse and stimulating national economic environment,” Al-Anzan added.
