Bank Albilad has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities to provide them with all services that meet all the needs of persons with disabilities in different regions of the KSA and to implement the standards of universal accessibility. The signing of this Memorandum comes in line with the Bank's strategy in its community responsibility, and its keenness on contribution to serving the categories of the Community of all its segments.

On this regard, Mr. Abdulaziz Al Onaizan, Bank Albilad's Chief Executive Officer, said: "The memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities contributes to increasing the Bank's interest in this category which is dear to our hearts to facilitate their access to all banking services in various regions of the Kingdom. Bank Albilad has also made several initiatives towards serving this category, including:

Issuing the banking terminology dictionary in sign language, the first of its kind in the Middle East.

Equipping a typical branch for the service of people with special needs in the city of Riyadh - Takhassusi St.

Providing medical and social tools for the blind.

Al Onaizan added: "Bank Albilad is always striving to make efforts to serve all segments of Community at the same time and to enhance the role of community responsibility to achieve sustainable development."

 

It is worth mentioning that this initiative comes as a part of Bank Albilad's efforts to serve the environment in which it operates under the umbrella of the program #Albilad_Inititve, which includes the Bank's Community Responsibility Initiatives, which exceed more than 36 programs and community service initiatives, are among its most prominent outputs "fathkrony" for smart devices, which the number of users exceeds two million five hundred thousand and the processing of a model branch for the service of people with special needs. In addition to this, the issuance of the banking terminology dictionary in sign language is the first of its kind in the Middle East, along with many innovative community initiatives with a sustainable impact, such as contributing to the development of Al-Sabla District in Riyadh and supporting housing initiatives. In the field of environmental conservation, Bank Albilad pays the most attention to this aspect by following the green building standards in all the Bank's facilities including insulation and construction materials that contribute to reducing energy use as well as the use of clean energy sources. Bank Albilad also provided through Albilad Volunteer Team a number of wheelchairs for visitors of the elderly and people with special needs to the visitors of the Janadriyah Festival 33.
